Growing Together – Gardening Fun for Families

Enjoy some quality time learning about food growing!

For the past two months we’ve been busy transforming our new plot at Coney Green Drive allotments into an exciting community garden for young and old. We also had time to look at soil properties learning about “SuperWorm”, discover seeds in all sort of exciting sizes and shapes, do some planting, taking care of seedlings and included some fun exploring time as well as craft activities to make the garden look colourful!

Over the next two years we’ll be running a number of courses and events to get you growing your own food at whatever scale. Whether you have a garden, back yard, allotment, container, window sill or wellington boot to grow in we can build your confidence and teach you the skills you need to grow your own healthy food.

Come and join us for our Growing Together sessions every Wednesday at the Coney Green Drive Allotments (Plot 2) Find Us  from 10.30-11.30 for families and 11:30-12:30 for adults – No booking required – For more info email jackie@northfieldecocentre.com

Follow us on social media, spread the word to friends and family and sign up to the newsletter to make sure you hear about future events and courses. Check out the rest of the website for other ways to move more and eat well.
